WHO WE ARE
WE UNDERSTAND OUR CULTURAL CONNOTATIONS
DLALA is an interdisciplinary cultural advisory dedicated to harnessing the transformative power of cultural expressions, meanings, people, practices and values on national and regional levels
Based on the given context, we provide a support line of content building, management development, and policy making of cultural heritage and the creative industries, including tangible and intangible heritage, visual arts and crafts, museums, tourism, among other cultural domains
Our goal is to support partners with cultural communication, capacity-building, curatorial strategies, project designing, while uncovering growth opportunities and measuring impact. One of our niche expertise is providing assistance in implementing UNESCO heritage conventions concerning the nomination process for inscription
Often collaborating with our partners to blend multisectorial and multivarious perspectives together, we built a unique interdisciplinary cultural advisory that employs synergic approaches and tools to understand their unique situations and develop insightful and actionable solutions
Taking the lens of interdisciplinary cultural advisory, we deliver exceptional and personalised consultancy offerings in national and international understandings and implementations of arts, heritage, tourism, museums, and cultural communication

Heritagisation Discourse Network
contextual notions of ‘WHOSE’ HERITAGE
The Heritagisation Discourse Network (HDN) is a forward-thinking research space dedicated to fostering a critical and collaborative approach to the challenges of heritagisation and commodification in the Arab region and its neighbouring areas
The network negotiates the values of authenticity, identity, and tradition in the modernised approaches and rapid implementations of heritagisation as a reviving tool for the lost cultural heritage and ongoing cultural tourism driven preservation initiatives. Our cause is to serve as a trusted source of knowledge, constructive criticism, and quality research for those passionate about conserving contextualised cultural heritage amidst inevitable modernisation, rapid preservation, and global economic/political pressures
This space is operated as DLALA's research arm allocated to cultivating dialogue among researchers and scholars to ignite debates on the prevailing top-down approaches to heritagisation within the Arab Gulf region. Our mission is to promote an inclusive and participatory framework that amplifies the voices of local and marginalised communities, ensuring their perspectives are integral to the heritagisation processes
